New report marks 10 years of Glasgow Centre for Population Health
November 18, 2014
A new report has just been published to mark ten years of the Glasgow Centre for Population Health, providing an overview of the evidence the GCPH has established and mobilised over the last ten years, and drawing out the implications for policy and practice.
The report covers the wealth of work that GCPH has conducted over the last decade into the health inequalities that exist in Glasgow. The emphasis is on the social and economic causes of health inequalities, with a lot of mentions of community development-related approaches to tackling inequality, such as assets-based approaches and participatory budgeting. The report recommends preventative partnership work to develop locally appropriate reponses.
