Community development and poverty session, 8th Oct 2019
September 9, 2019
Challenge Poverty week 2019 is running from the 7th – 13th October. One of its aims is to increase public support for the actions that solve poverty, such as boosting people’s incomes and reducing the cost of living.
This lunchtime session at SCDC will look at how community development approaches can put power in the hands of those experiencing poverty to influence the change that is needed.
The session will be free and take place at SCDC on Tuesday 8th October from 12:15 until 1:45 with a light lunch provided. It will be relevant to those who are active in the general area of community development and poverty.
