Crossroads Youth and Community Association has won the Public Services Award at Glasgow's Community Champions awards, held in Castlemilk Community Centre on 18th June 2015.

Local councillor Soryia Siddique presented the award to Crossroads, which delivers youth and community work within the Gorbals and Govanhill area to support local residents.  She said: "Without Crossroads many migrants would feel isolated and unsettled, and some of the most positive cases now have successful careers and happy family lives."

Other winners included: Radiant and Brighter Community Interest Company, who were presented with the Team Award; Givin’ it Laldie musicians, who won the Health and Wellbeing Award; and the Cuckoo Basketball Club (now known as the Glasgow Rens) Community work at Crossroadswho received the Sport Award.

The awards were sponsored by the Evening Times newspaper amongst others, and there are photos and coverage of the awards on the website.  Click here for more details.
