CHEX Conference - 4th June 2015
April 28, 2015
CHEX (Community Health Exchange) is inviting community-led health organisation and public sector partners to attend its free annual conference, ‘Healthy Influences - Community-led health’s contribution to Scottish policy’.
- 10:30 – 3:30pm, Thurs 4th June 2015
- Edinburgh Training and Conference Venue St Mary’s Road, EH1 1SU
This year’s conference is about learning from each other and growing our influence - come for the buzz and share how you and others are making a difference.
Through facilitated discussions with community-led health and Scottish Government representatives, the morning will focus on our contribution to four key government policies:
• Health Inequalities • Food & Health
• Health and Social Care • Curriculum for Excellence
In the afternoon we will plan on how to grow our influence so that community-led health organisations can better help policy makers to develop well informed policy leading to improved outcomes for all
Who should come?
CHEX is offering community-led health organisation three places at the conference. You could choose to use these for staff, volunteers or management committee. You would also be welcome to offer one of your three places to a public sector partner you work with.
People told CHEX at last year’s conference: “A really great, vibrant event” ... “great examples of what can be done if you put your mind to something.”
