Scottish Government consultation on allotments
August 17, 2018
There are just a few days left to submit a response to the Scottish Government's consultation on part 9 of the Community Empowerment Act on Allotments.
Comments and feedback received from this consultation will be used to help shape the final version of the statutory guidance provided to local authorities to assist them in carrying out their duties under Part 9 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
Part 9 of the Act updates and simplifies legislation on allotments, and requires local authorities to develop a food growing strategy for their area, including identifying land that may be used as allotment sites and for community growing.
