The Social Impact Pledge is about simple ways that public bodies can make a difference to communities. Here are some examples…
Glasgow Clyde College pledged to refurbish old laptops and PCs to a workable state to be given to students or local community groups.
The National Galleries of Scotland pledged to reduce ticket prices for under-26s for their Bridget Riley exhibition
Glasgow Prestwick Airport pledged to organise and host an event to gain insight from disabled people/organisations on how to make the airport more accessible.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise pledged to further expand volunteering leave for staff and to promote Gaelic language and culture.
These past commitments show what sort of things communities might benefit from through a revitalised Social Impact Pledge in 2024.
In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be asking public bodies to commit to doing new things. We’ll then let people know about them on this website - you’ll be able to search for pledges that are relevant to you.
