Established in 2002 as an independent charitable organisation, Community Links aims to tackle poverty in local communities, with a particular emphasis on areas that fall into the 15% priority datazones as identified by the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD).

It delivers innovative, independent and effective community consultation and engagement services to partner agencies and service providers to involve local members of the community in local decisions. No other voluntary sector organisation in the local area offers similar services.

Community Links is a value-based organisation and these values are reflected in how it conducts its work and how the organisation interacts with the communities it serves; Inclusion, Commitment, Respect, Innovation and Vibrance.
