Dalry Community Development Hub - North Ayrshire

Dalry Community Development Hub aims to provide an opportunity for the community of Dalry to work together to secure resources and funds to tackle the community issues.

Over the past 20 years Dalry has witnessed the loss of local employment, services, community buildings and recreational facilities. By supporting increased community participation and volunteering in Dalry, the Hub DCDH eventworks towards improving the lives of residents of Dalry through physical and social regeneration initiatives.

The Hub has a strong and active Board of Trustees made up of community-minded residents and local business people. All are committed to the vision of developing the Hub, improving its ability to serve the wider community and also keen to develop services for local young people.

The group is currently undertaking a number of projects and initiatives, including improving the environment at Dalry Station and repairing and maintaining local walkways. Aspirations include securing access to community benefits from local wind power projects and the acquisition of the site of the demolished old Dalry Primary School for community use.
