DNDP – South Lanarkshire
DNDP is a social enterprise in South Lanarkshire which operates a Courier Delivery Service and Mail Delivery Service staffed by people with disabilities and long term conditions.
The organisation was founded by Bruce Gunn, whose life was transformed in 2008 when he developed a long term condition after experiencing an allergic reaction to a mosquito bite on holiday. His own experience of disability, as well as hearing stories of other disabled people, led him to coming up with the idea to start a delivery service that benefited people with disabilities and long term conditions.
Now a fully-fledged Community Interest Company, DNDP C.I.C. offers a high end, competitive and secure service that can be tailor-made to client’s requirements. This includes Standard Same Day Delivery at competitive rates and its prime service “Same Day Urgent.” This point to point, GPS tracked, premium express service offers additional security including CRB checked drivers and fire, water and tamper-proof document cases and bags.
The company’s policy of flexible working has allowed people with disabilities to enter sustainable employment, improving, transforming and in some cases even saving lives. By actively contributing to society, the people of DNDP C.I.C. lead by example on a local and national scale.
