Inverclyde Community Development Trust
Inverclyde Community Development Trust, known locally as ‘the Trust’, began life in 1987as Greenock Employment Action Group. It is now a social economy organisation and a significant local employer with a turnover of £3 million, assets of £1 million and 115 staff - almost all of whom live locally.
The Trust provides care services for older people, training for unemployed people and regeneration services for communities and business. Its income comes from: property rents from offices in Greenock and Port Glasgow and delivering contracts for the Local Authority.
The Trust is also carrying out community action research to document the history of sectarianism in Inverclyde and aims to establish a cross-partner alliance to combat Intra-Christian discrimination and increase anti-sectarian partnership working throughout Inverclyde.
