The core purpose of Xchange Scotland is to bring people together from diverse backgrounds in order that they can make a positive impact on their own communities by acting locally and thinking globally.
Based in Govan and working mainly with young people across Glasgow - with aspirations to work on a wider basis across Scotland - Xchange Scotland uses non-formal educational activity and international volunteering to address issues of active global citizenship and inter-cultural understanding.
The group helps people to take the initiative to make changes in their lives, and to develop awareness and understanding of the inter-connected world that they live in. It has helped a number of local young people to develop their skills, confidence and abilities through the programme of activities.
Xchange Scotland has developed a toolkit of non-formal educational activities and has begun to be recognised at a national level.
